What was meant to be a dream wedding reportedly turned into a shocking nightmare after a last-minute confession left families and guests in disbelief.

According to a viral post shared by a Lagos-based lady on X, a wedding said to be worth over ₦31 million was abruptly cancelled on the morning of the ceremony — just hours before it was set to begin.

The groom had reportedly spared no expense. From a fully decorated venue to customised aso-ebi and even four cows prepared for the celebration, everything was in place for what many described as a luxury event.

The bride herself had taken pre-wedding photos just hours earlier, smiling and dressed for the big day. Nothing seemed out of place — until early that morning.

At exactly 7:03 am, everything changed.

A voice note allegedly sent by the bride to a family group brought the entire celebration to a halt.

“I can’t do this. I’ve been pregnant for four months… and it’s not his.”

The message reportedly threw both families into confusion and shock. But what followed made the situation even more explosive.

When asked who was responsible, the bride reportedly named someone no one expected:

“It’s your best man. We’ve been seeing each other since the introduction.”

What followed was pure chaos.

Guests had already started arriving at the venue, unaware of the unfolding drama. Inside, tensions escalated quickly. The groom was said to have collapsed, while the best man allegedly attempted to slip away quietly.

A confrontation soon broke out between both families, forcing security personnel to step in.

Despite the lavish setup and high expectations, the ceremony was officially called off, with the MC announcing that the wedding would no longer hold.

What should have been a celebration ended in confusion, heartbreak, and unanswered questions.

Now, the story has taken over social media, with many people divided over one major question:

💬 Is it better to find out a truth like this before the wedding… or years into the marriage?
