Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has dismissed claims that Germany rejected his nomination as Nigeria’s ambassador, calling the reports false and misleading.

The controversy followed an exclusive report by the People’s Gazette, which alleged that Germany had turned down his posting due to past remarks and conduct.

“Fake news everywhere. These opposition elements are so pained by my appointment and they are doing everything to discredit me and scuttle it. Whether they like it or not I will serve my country! Keep crying!”
