A young woman has gone public with an emotional plea regarding her boyfriend, who she says has been detained for five years without any clarity on his case.
A Frustrating Wait
In a video shared online, the woman revealed that she had just returned from visiting him at the correctional facility, where he reportedly told her there had been no update on his situation. She expressed deep frustration, claiming that his file has not even been opened despite the lengthy detention.
Before his imprisonment, she explained, they took an oath together out of love—a promise she says prevents her from moving on or entering another relationship. The ordeal has left her emotionally distressed and uncertain about her future.
Plea for Government Intervention
The woman appealed to authorities to act and resolve her boyfriend’s case. She said:
“I can’t contain this anymore. I had to summon the courage to speak publicly. The man I’m dating has been imprisoned for five years. I just came back from visiting him. He told me he’s not fine and that there’s been no information regarding his case. The worst part is, I don’t know what to do—I can’t cheat, and I cannot marry another man because of the oath we took. For five years, I’ve been suffering, going to prison to see him. His file hasn’t even been opened. The government should intervene and help because I’m frustrated.”
