Bukayo Saka has signed a new five-year contract with Arsenal, committing his future to the club until 2031.
Sources indicate the deal makes the England international the highest-paid player at Arsenal, with reported wages exceeding £300,000 per week. Negotiations had been ongoing for several months, with Saka said to have verbally agreed to the extension back in January.

The 24-year-old previously signed a contract in 2023 that was set to run until 2027. This latest agreement secures his long-term future at the club during what are widely regarded as his peak playing years.
Major boost in crucial season
Saka’s extension comes at a pivotal time for Arsenal, who are competing on multiple fronts this season. The club currently sit top of the Premier League table and remain active in the Champions League, FA Cup and EFL Cup.
They are set to face Manchester City in the EFL Cup final next month, while also preparing for the Champions League knockout stages.
The new deal aligns with Arsenal’s broader strategy of tying down key players to long-term contracts. Over the summer, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly all signed fresh agreements.
From academy prospect to cornerstone
Saka made his senior debut in 2018 at just 17 years old after progressing through Arsenal’s academy system. Since then, he has grown into one of the club’s most influential and consistent performers.
He has made 217 Premier League appearances, scoring 57 goals, and has registered seven goals in 33 appearances across all competitions this season.
At international level, Saka has earned 48 caps for the England national football team, scoring 14 goals. He is expected to feature in Thomas Tuchel’s squad for the upcoming World Cup in June.
By the time his new contract expires in 2031, Saka will have spent well over a decade as a professional at Arsenal — placing him among a select group of players in the club’s recent history to demonstrate such long-term loyalty and consistency.
