A Nigerian man based in the United Kingdom has stirred widespread reactions online after describing relocating his wife from Nigeria to the UK as the “craziest thing” he has ever done for love.
Speaking in a video that has since gone viral, the man explained that the decision required a huge financial commitment and came with significant risks. In his words:
“The craziest thing I have done for love is bringing my wife from Nigeria to the UK. Do you think it’s easy? Do you know how much I spent?
It’s an investment, spending a lot of money to catapult her here. It is a risk because a lot of them, when they come here, just kick their husbands out of the house.”
He went on to say that what ultimately convinced him to take the leap was his wife’s calm nature and personality, which gave him confidence in their relationship.
