A Nigerian lady has gone viral after sharing a shocking experience of how she got arrested during the COVID-19 lockdown — all because she wanted to see her boyfriend.
The lady, identified as @queen_babie on X (formerly Twitter), revealed that the incident happened in 2020 when interstate travel was strictly banned.
According to her, her then-boyfriend lived in another state, and despite the restrictions, she decided to embark on the journey to visit him.
However, things quickly took a dramatic turn when she was arrested by security operatives for violating the interstate travel ban.
In the middle of the situation, she tried reaching out to her boyfriend for help — but he reportedly ignored all her calls and messages.
“He wasn’t taking my calls… even when I used another number, he ended it once he heard my voice,” she recounted.
Surprisingly, she was later bailed out by a stranger and his family — but instead of returning home, she chose to continue her journey to still see the same man who ignored her.
Her story has since sparked massive reactions online, with many questioning her decision and urging women to know their worth in relationships.
While some found the story shocking, others described it as a lesson on self-respect and emotional boundaries.
