- A self-proclaimed commander of the Biafra Liberation Army, C-ROZ, expressed deep shock and emotional distress after finding that some people were rejoicing over the life sentence handed down to IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu for terrorism charges. C-ROZ was hurt to learn that the celebrations were due to the perceived end of the IPOB-imposed sit-at-home order.
- He criticized those celebrating, reminding them that Kanu endured persecution for the good of their people.

C-ROZ, a self-proclaimed commander of the Biafra Liberation Army, shared his emotional experience following the sentencing of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu to life imprisonment for terrorism charges on November 20, 2025.
Visiting various towns and cities to observe public reaction to the landmark judgment, C-ROZ expressed deep concern after witnessing some people rejoicing.
He recounted the shocking discovery:
“I removed my mask, as did three of my comrades. I was shocked to see some people rejoicing. I asked them what had happened and why they were celebrating.”
The celebrants reportedly told him their joy stemmed from the anticipated end of the IPOB-imposed sit-at-home order:
“Sir, are you the only one who doesn’t know that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been convicted?” they reportedly told him.
C-ROZ felt “deeply hurt” by the response and reminded them of Kanu’s sacrifice:
“I felt deeply hurt. I asked them what they believed was the reason behind everything MNK is facing. They kept quiet. I reminded them that he went through all these things because he wanted to help our people.”
He stressed the importance of collective well-being, stating, “Without life, none of those things matter,” and urged supporters not to be discouraged.
C-ROZ also criticized the legal basis for the conviction:
“MNK will still find justice. It is only in Nigeria that a person can be convicted under a repealed law—one that no longer exists,” he remarked, encouraging supporters to remain calm and steadfast.
