A businesswoman, Tracynither Nicolas Ohiri, has taken to social media to allege that she was arrested on the orders of the Minister of Works, David Umahi.

In a video that has since gone viral, she claimed she was being transported to Abuja and urged Nigerians to hold the minister and the police accountable if anything happens to her.

“He Has Been Owing Me for 12 Years”

In the video, Tracynither alleged that Umahi has owed her for 12 years over campaign materials she supplied. She further claimed that the prolonged dispute stemmed from her refusal to enter into a personal relationship with him.

“Nigerians, David Umahi, who has been owing me for 12 years, just arrested me. And right now they are taking me to Abuja. I am very high in my spirits, but if anything happens to me, Nigerians should hold David Umahi and the Nigerian police responsible,” she said.

She repeated her claim, insisting that she was on her way to Abuja at the time of recording.

Allegations of Power Abuse

Tracynither accused the minister of using his political position to intimidate her.

“This man has been owing me for 12 years because I refused to date him. Now he is using his power as a politician to weaponise the system and arrest me. I am on my way to Abuja,” she alleged.

Ongoing Dispute

The latest development adds to an existing controversy between the two parties. Umahi has previously denied allegations of unpaid contracts and sexual harassment and has reportedly threatened legal action over the claims.

As of the time this report was filed, there has been no official response from the minister’s office or the Nigeria Police Force regarding her recent allegations.
