A woman has gone viral on TikTok after sharing a shocking story about how her boyfriend allegedly used ₦1 million she entrusted to him for her business to pay the bride price of another woman he planned to marry.

According to her, she had given her boyfriend the money to support her business, trusting him to handle it on her behalf. Unknown to her, he was allegedly making wedding plans with someone else at the same time.
In the now-viral video, she recounted the experience with a mix of disbelief and nervous laughter, shaking her head as she narrated what happened.
“If you ever feel stupid, guys, e get one story wey happen to me… I get this my guy, my boyfriend, eh? I give am one million naira—yes, 1 million!—wey I suppose use for my business. You know wetin e do? E take the money go pay bride price for im other girlfriend! Yes o, the girl wey e wan marry!” she said.

She further claimed that the situation became even more shocking when both she and the bride-to-be were reportedly lodged in the same hotel for seven days leading up to the wedding ceremony.
“No be only that… e lodge me and that girl for the same hotel! Same hotel o! For seven days straight—seven whole days—until the wedding day. Me, I dey there dey think say na business e dey do, but na wedding e dey plan with my own money!” she added.
Her account has since sparked widespread outrage online, with many viewers expressing disbelief over the alleged betrayal. Others used the opportunity to caution against sharing large sums of money with romantic partners without clear agreements and boundaries.
