Nollywood Actor Femi Apefe Reacts to Allegations Linking Him to Late Actress Aunty Ajara’s Pregnancy
Nollywood actor Femi Adewole has responded to allegations circulating online that link him to the untimely death of his colleague, Aunty Ajara.
The petite actress reportedly passed away after suffering pregnancy-related complications alongside liver health issues. Prior to her death, several colleagues had taken to social media to solicit financial and medical support for her as her condition worsened.
A video said to capture her final moments later surfaced online, prompting many people to share prayers and messages of encouragement.
Rumours Surface After Her Death
Following reports that the late actress had been pregnant, old videos featuring Apefe and Aunty Ajara began circulating on social media. Some users alleged that the actor might have been responsible for the pregnancy.
In response to the claims, Apefe posted a video on his official Instagram page to address the rumours and clarify the nature of their relationship.
Apefe Speaks on Their Relationship
According to the actor, he first met Aunty Ajara about two years ago and was immediately impressed by her natural acting talent. He said he admired her skills and often invited her to join him on movie sets.
Apefe explained that they developed a friendly relationship over time, adding that the actress occasionally visited his home, sometimes arriving with the help of a commercial motorcyclist.
Actor Addresses Pregnancy Rumours
Speaking further, Apefe revealed that he once suggested filming a comedy skit in which Aunty Ajara would play the role of a pregnant woman. The idea was accepted by those around them, and the skit was eventually filmed at his residence.
According to him, that particular video later became the basis for rumours that the actress was pregnant with twins in real life.
He strongly denied being responsible for any pregnancy, stating that the only pregnancy he knew about was the one portrayed in the skit.
His Support for the Late Actress
Apefe also disclosed that Aunty Ajara sometimes struggled with feelings of insecurity because of her body size. Despite this, he said he admired her talent greatly and constantly encouraged her to keep pursuing her acting career.
The actor maintained that he was one of her biggest supporters and expressed deep sadness over her passing while distancing himself from the allegations circulating online.
