Nollywood actor Adams Kehinde, widely known as Lege Miami, has stirred reactions after criticizing Nigerians who failed to celebrate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his birthday.
In a video circulating on social media, the actor expressed disappointment over what he described as silence from Nigerians on the president’s special day.
“Today is the president’s birthday, yet many of you are silent as if you’re unaware. Things won’t go well for you. Wishing long life and prosperity to the President of Nigeria as his leadership continues,” he said.
Lege made the remark while celebrating Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 74th birthday, a statement that quickly drew attention online.
Many Nigerians did not take his comments lightly, as they flooded the comment sections to criticise his remarks.
Some described his statement as unnecessary, while others argued that celebrating political leaders should be a personal choice—especially when many feel the current administration has worsened economic conditions.
Reactions on social media ranged from humour to outright frustration.
One user wrote, “Is he my father? Why should I celebrate someone who has made life harder for me?” Another commented, “Hungry fool, you’re clearly part of Nigeria’s problem.”
