Nigerian social media activist Verydarkman has reacted strongly to recent statements made by relationship therapist Blessing CEO regarding her health condition and public donations.
The controversy follows Blessing CEO’s earlier emotional appeal online, where she claimed to be battling advanced cancer. However, during a later Instagram Live session, she clarified that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer but was unsure of the exact stage of the illness. She also admitted that she may have overstated certain details while seeking financial assistance for treatment.

Concerns Over Transparency
Reacting to the development, Verydarkman questioned the inconsistencies in her claims, stressing that clarity is essential—especially when the public has contributed money.
He revealed that he was among those who donated and expressed concern that the uncertainty surrounding her diagnosis could create doubts about how the funds were solicited. According to him, such ambiguity could mislead people and raise serious ethical and legal questions if not properly addressed.
Demand for Accountability
In a strongly worded response, the activist warned that he may demand a refund of his donation once he fully revisits the matter.
“My money is in your account… when I’m ready, you will refund it,” he said, insisting that the situation must be properly clarified.
He further emphasised that public trust should not be taken lightly, particularly in cases involving health-related appeals and financial support.
Growing Reactions Online
The exchange has since sparked conversations across social media, with many Nigerians divided. While some are calling for empathy given the health concerns, others insist that transparency is crucial when seeking public donations.
As the situation unfolds, attention remains on whether further clarification—or possible refunds—will follow.
