A Nigerian woman has stirred widespread debate online after sharing a detailed list of qualities she expects in her future husband.
The post, shared on X, quickly went viral, with many users questioning whether her standards were serious or intended as satire.
The List That Sparked Reactions
In her post, the woman outlined several non-negotiable conditions she said her future partner must meet.
According to her, he must be a virgin and earn a seven-figure income, yet still have unlimited free time. She also specified that he should be naturally handsome — without a gym-built physique or the use of filters.
She went on to state that her ideal husband must pay all household bills, with no 50/50 financial arrangement, and also know how to cook.
Beyond finances, she added that he must ask for her permission before going anywhere and must not hold patriarchal views. She also expects him to treat her parents as his own and take full responsibility for their care.
Her list continued with additional requirements: he must not use social media, must have no female friends, and should share his live location with her 24 hours a day. She further insisted that he must “delete his entire past.”
Emotionally, she said he must be calm and “emotionally available” at all times, have zero ego, and be fully healed from any past trauma — despite never having attended therapy.
Her post read in part:
“I will only marry a man who is:
A virgin
Earns seven figures but still has unlimited free time
Naturally handsome (no gym, no filters)
Pays all bills, no 50/50
Knows how to cook
Asks permission before going anywhere
Non-patriarchal
Takes care of my parents like his own
Doesn’t use social media
Has no female friends
Shares his live location 24/7
Deletes his entire past
Calm and emotionally available 24/7
Has zero ego
Fully healed from all trauma but never went to therapy.”
The post has since generated mixed reactions, with some social media users describing the list as unrealistic and contradictory, while others suggested it may have been written humorously to highlight modern dating expectations.
