Nollywood singer and actress Angela Okorie has issued a heartfelt public apology to her colleague, Mercy Johnson, following their recent controversy.
It will be recalled that on Wednesday, January 28, Angela was arrested by the Nigeria Police Force Cybercrime Centre in Abuja at her residence over alleged cybercrime-related issues involving Mercy Johnson.\

She was later released from the Suleja Correctional Centre in Niger State.
After promising to address the situation, the actress kept her word by sharing a video on her Instagram page, where she offered a heartfelt and public apology to Mercy Johnson.
In the video, Angela admitted that she is not a perfect being, which was why she chose to apologise.

“I just want to apologise to you. If it’s only my words, I am deeply sorry. You’re not a witch; you aren’t what people have been saying about you. I just want to say, ‘I am sorry,’” she said.
Angela explained that she had heard several negative things about Mercy Johnson, fondly known as MJ, and admitted that those stories influenced her feelings and actions toward the actress.
She also revealed that people had been speaking negatively about her to Mercy Johnson, a situation she said contributed significantly to the conflict between them.
The actress stated that at this stage in her life, she wants no drama or fights and would rather focus on her business and personal growth.
According to Angela, she had already reached out to Mercy Johnson through another colleague and offered a private apology, which Mercy Johnson reportedly accepted wholeheartedly.
The public apology has sparked mixed reactions online. While some praised Angela Okorie for taking responsibility and speaking openly, others felt the damage had already been done.
With this public gesture, many believe the long-standing tension between the two actresses may finally be laid to rest.
