Carter Efe Expresses Disappointment After Wizkid Gifts ₦20 Million to Hypeman
Content creator and singer Carter Efe has voiced his disappointment after Afrobeats superstar Wizkid gifted ₦20 million to hypeman “God Over Everything” (GOE).
The cash gift, reportedly made in 2023 after GOE mentioned Wizkid in a viral video, drew attention at the time. However, little has been heard about GOE since the gift went public.
Carter Efe Questions Wizkid’s Choice
In a viral video, Carter Efe lamented that he has consistently supported and promoted Wizkid’s music throughout his career, dancing to and sharing every release. He expressed frustration that despite his loyalty and even recording the tribute song Machala, he was overlooked.
He said:
“I promoted Wizkid’s songs since I started my career. No song Wizkid drops that I don’t whine my mumu waist to. Guess who Wizkid gave N20M? God Over. How e be, Wizkid, are you proud of him?”
