Liam Rosenior has revealed that he is still living in a hotel following his appointment as head coach of Chelsea F.C., insisting that finding a permanent home is “not a priority” as he concentrates fully on stabilising the club’s season.

The 41-year-old succeeded Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge after the Italian’s departure on New Year’s Day. Since arriving from sister club RC Strasbourg Alsace in January, Rosenior has guided Chelsea to eight wins in 11 matches across all competitions.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Burnley F.C., Rosenior admitted he has put his personal arrangements on hold.

“The job never ends. Just a day — I managed to switch off for a day,” he said. “I’m still in the hotel. I’ll probably be there until the end of the season. I don’t have time. I’m focused on this job. My living circumstances aren’t a priority right now.”

Strong Start on the Pitch

Chelsea currently sit fifth in the Premier League table — a position that could be enough to secure UEFA Champions League qualification given England’s coefficient ranking.

The Blues have also advanced to the latter stages of the FA Cup and are awaiting their last-16 opponents in European competition.

Rosenior’s only defeats so far have come against league leaders Arsenal F.C. in the EFL Cup semi-finals.

A victory over Burnley would lift Chelsea above rivals Manchester United F.C., who play later on Monday.

Firm Stance on Racism

Rosenior also addressed the recent racism controversy involving Vinícius Júnior during a Champions League fixture between S.L. Benfica and Real Madrid C.F..

“If I categorically heard racism and nothing was done about it, I would take my team off the pitch. I wouldn’t play the game,” he said firmly.

Reflecting on his background, he added, “I’m really lucky. I’m of mixed heritage — my dad is Black, my mum is white. What I’ve learned in life is everyone is pretty much the same.”

Chelsea now face a demanding March schedule, including league fixtures against Arsenal and Aston Villa F.C., alongside ongoing FA Cup and European commitments. Rosenior will be aiming to maintain the club’s strong momentum — even as he continues life in temporary accommodation.
