Blessing CEO is angry. Very angry. And she is not here to play. π€
She saw those comments. You know the ones. “God take Blessing CEO and give us back Alex.” She said, “My God will punish you.”
She reminded everybody that the same Alex they are now crying for was once called “Agege.” They called him “gay.” His own ex-fiancΓ©e said it. But now, because he is dead, everybody loves him.
“You people know how to stigmatize people. If a photo of Alex in his vulnerable state had leaked, you would have called him Agege.”
Then she talked about her own health. People have been asking why cancer has not shrunk her like it did Alex.
“The reason why I’m still here is because I have a tough skin. I have refused to shrink for you people.”
She said Alex’s family hid his condition not because of privacy, but because of shame. He knew that if he came out, people would insult him. Victimize him. So they protected him.
“And you know when you’re going through cancer, you start to shrink. People will label you that you have HIV. That is why I have refused to shrink.”
The internet is fighting. One person wrote: “She is speaking facts. Nigerians are very cruel.” Another said: “Comparing her to a dead man is wickedness.” π
Someone else added: “Blessing CEO is tough. Love her or hate her, she stands on business.”
