Man Expresses Frustration After Sister Installs CCTV at House Construction Site
A Nigerian man has taken to social media to vent his frustration after discovering that his younger sister, who lives in Europe, installed a CCTV camera at the construction site of a house he is managing on her behalf.
The video, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @omoelerinjare, captures the man’s disbelief and visible anger over the situation.
Younger Sister Entrusts Him With Project
According to him, his sister, who resides in Italy, asked him to oversee the construction of her house back home. He explained that he has been actively involved at the site, putting in time and effort to ensure the project runs smoothly.
CCTV Move Leaves Him Feeling Undermined
However, he said he was shocked to learn that she had installed a CCTV camera at the site without informing him. The decision, he noted, made him feel distrusted and undermined — especially as the elder sibling.
In his words:
“Guys, see my sister. She’s in Italy and gave me this project to help her build her house. Now she has the mind to install CCTV at the site where I’m working for her. This is my younger sister doing this to me. How can I explain this?
If she doesn’t trust me, why give me the project in the first place? I’m even thinking of leaving the work for her. Why would she install CCTV where I’m suffering to help her build her house?
She’s our last born, and I’m her senior. It’s well… it’s very good.”
The clip has since sparked conversations online, with many debating whether the sister’s decision reflects a lack of trust or simply a precautionary measure common in construction projects today.
