Nigerian music star Asake has drawn attention online after a video showed him attempting to reach the revered Black Stone during a visit to the Kaaba.
In the viral clip, the singer was seen among a large crowd of worshippers gathered around the sacred site in Mecca. He appeared to be trying to move closer to the Black Stone, which is located at the eastern corner of the Kaaba and holds deep spiritual significance in Islam.
Like many pilgrims who visit the holy site, Asake seemed eager to touch the stone — a practice many Muslims observe during pilgrimage rituals when the opportunity arises. However, the large number of worshippers surrounding the area made it difficult for him to get close enough.
Despite the challenge, the singer remained among the crowd as security personnel and pilgrims continued to move around the sacred structure during the spiritual gathering.
Reactions online
The video has since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many users sharing their thoughts on the moment.
@chefsong_ commented:
“I personally think that as a Muslim you’d understand the significance and the idea behind touching that Black Stone. Because if you’re not a Muslim, you might not understand. Money is not the only thing some people want from God. People are going through things.”
@bidsman wrote:
“This is where he needs his giran and Lagos Island OT 🤣.”
@TrendPilott added:
“If Asake is still hustling to touch the Black Stone at the Kaaba, then the rest of us really need to pray harder.”
The clip continues to circulate online as fans react to seeing the singer take part in a deeply spiritual moment.
