The ongoing controversy surrounding Nigerian relationship influencer Blessing CEO has taken a new turn, as social commentator Verydarkman has reportedly filed a petition with the Inspector-General of Police.

The petition, submitted through legal representatives, accuses Blessing CEO of false representation, forgery, and conduct likely to defraud the public, calling for a thorough investigation into her actions—particularly her recent viral cancer claims.

While sharing the report, Verydarkman expressed his frustration:

“Few weeks ago she came out and said she had cancer and I believed because she shaved her hair and I felt compassion. And on that very day I had nothing in my account. All I sent to her was 150 Naira. And this money was what I was going to use to buy food to eat. Now I put my last card in her account which made me go hungry and now I have ulcer, only to find out that she doesn’t have stage 4 cancer…”

The petition further alleges that Blessing CEO’s actions may have misled countless other well-meaning Nigerians who contributed financially, believing they were assisting someone in genuine medical need. Legal experts suggest that if the allegations are proven true, the influencer could face serious consequences under Nigerian law for fraud and misrepresentation.

This saga continues to dominate social media conversations, with many users debating the ethics of online fundraising, the accountability of influencers, and the impact such incidents have on public trust. The case highlights the risks of unverified claims in the digital age and the need for caution before sending financial support to online personalities.
