Social commentator GehGeh has sparked fresh outrage online after calling out alleged police brutality in Delta State.
In a viral video, he didn’t hold back, expressing deep frustration over recent incidents involving the police.
“I regret being a Nigerian citizen, it’s a shame,” he said.
GehGeh accused officers of repeated misconduct, pointing to the recent killing in Effurun and other disturbing cases.
He alleged that in one incident, police chased a young man who jumped into a river while trying to escape — but instead of rescuing him, they left the scene, leading to his death.
He also claimed that despite public protests, nothing significant was done about the situation.
In another allegation, he said a man was shot in broad daylight, even though he was unarmed and already restrained.
According to him, these incidents show a dangerous pattern where some officers act without fear of consequences.
GehGeh didn’t stop there — he shared his own experience, claiming he, his driver, and his manager almost got shot during a stop-and-search in Delta.
“They just opened fire near us for no reason,” he alleged.
His statements have since triggered strong reactions online, with many Nigerians demanding accountability, while others question how widespread these incidents really are.
The conversation around police conduct in Delta State continues to grow, as more voices speak up.
