Nigerian singer Asake has shared a humble take on his rise in the music industry, admitting he doesn’t see himself as the most talented out there.

Speaking in a recent interview, the “Sungba” hitmaker reflected on how Lagos played a major role in shaping both his life and sound.

According to him, moving to Lagos after school helped him grow quickly and understand life better.

“Lagos taught me how to live like a man. Lagos inspired most of my songs,” he said.

Despite his massive success, Asake noted that there are many talented artistes who haven’t gotten the same level of recognition, showing appreciation for how far he has come.

His statement has sparked reactions online, with fans praising his humility while others highlight how hard work, consistency, and environment can shape success.
