A commercial motorcyclist, popularly known as a “bikeman,” has gone viral after sharing a bold video in which he openly called out “yahoo boys” over their lifestyle, proudly defending his daily hustle and work ethic.
Daily hustle vs. internet scam
In the now-trending clip, the bikeman repeatedly compares his life to that of internet fraudsters, speaking directly and confidently into the camera.
“I am a bike man, you are a yahoo boy. Is that clear? I cash out every day, you don’t cash out every day. Is that clear?” he said.
He went on to highlight what he believes are the differences between honest work and fraudulent wealth.
“I earn in naira, you earn whatever. Is that clear? I see pretty babes every day. You see your ugly girlfriend every day. Is that clear? I stay outside most times. You just stay at home most times. Is that clear?” he added.
“I sleep at night”
Emphasising his daily routine and constant interaction with customers, he continued:
“I sleep at night. You don’t sleep at night. Clients ask for my number. You ask for clients’ number. Is that clear?”
The video has since sparked mixed reactions online. While some viewers found his delivery humorous and entertaining, others saw a deeper message in his words — a reflection of the pressures young Nigerians face, the dignity of legitimate work, and the ongoing debate between slow, honest earnings and the lure of quick money through illegal means.
