Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has reacted to the proposed celebrity boxing match against Carter Efe, dramatically raising the financial stakes.

The challenge was initially put forward by music executive Soso Soberekon, who reportedly offered ₦50 million to Carter Efe during a recent visit to businessman E-Money’s residence. According to Soberekon, the money would only be paid if Carter Efe agreed to step into the ring with Portable.

Portable Rejects ₦50 Million Offer

Responding to the proposal, Portable dismissed the ₦50 million offer as insufficient.

The singer demanded ₦50 million in cash in addition to a car valued at ₦300 million, bringing his total asking price to ₦350 million before agreeing to the fight.

In his statement, Portable also pointed to his previous celebrity boxing matches against Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington, expressing confidence in his fighting ability.

“Soso, ₦50 million is too small. Give me ₦50 million plus a car worth ₦300 million, making ₦350 million, and I’ll deal with Carter Efe mercilessly,” he said.

Portable further issued strong warnings, boasting about his track record in the ring and insisting he should be properly compensated for any potential bout.

The back-and-forth has since sparked reactions online, with fans debating whether the much-talked-about celebrity clash will eventually happen.
