A young woman has shared what she described as an embarrassing encounter after a Nigerian man allegedly rejected her in public while they were both in South Africa.
Recounting the incident on social media, she said the man pulled over in his car, rolled down the window and asked for her name. After she introduced herself, she claimed he immediately told her that he does not date Nigerian women before driving off.
According to her, the moment was made even more humiliating because a South African woman was present and reportedly laughed after the exchange.
In her words:
“A Nigerian guy outrightly rejected me in front of a South African lady in South Africa. He stopped his car, rolled down the window, and asked for my name. After I told him, he said he doesn’t date Nigerian women and then sped off. I felt so embarrassed and the South African lady was laughing.”
The video has since sparked conversations online about dating preferences, public rejection, and perceptions within diaspora communities, with many debating whether such comments reflect personal choice or deeper social biases.
