A Nigerian woman has sparked emotional reactions online after sharing how she remained in a relationship despite knowing her boyfriend was openly involved with another woman.
In a viral TikTok video, the visibly heartbroken lady recounted discovering that her boyfriend was cheating. When she confronted him, she said he admitted to loving both women and refused to choose between them.
“He told me he loved both of us and couldn’t choose. It was either I stay and share him or I leave. I stayed,” she revealed.
Rather than walk away, she said she tried to adapt to the painful situation in hopes of keeping the relationship. According to her, she even attempted to befriend the other woman to make things less tense.
In a shocking detail, she disclosed that when her boyfriend travelled to visit the other lady in another city, she helped him pack his bags and accompanied him to the airport.
The situation became even more complicated when he later told her they had broken up. She eventually discovered that claim was false. Despite knowing the truth, she said she pretended not to be aware because she feared confronting him would push him to leave her completely.
Things worsened after he eventually ended the relationship but continued to reach out for casual intimacy. She said he made it clear that it was “just sex” and not a relationship.
“He would tell me not to overthink it, that it was only sex. I would cry and still stay,” she said.
According to her, she never found the strength to walk away on her own. In the end, he was the one who cut ties completely, despite her attempts to reconcile.
Her story has since triggered widespread conversations online about self-worth, emotional dependency, and the importance of setting boundaries in relationships.
