A Nigerian woman has sparked widespread reactions online after recounting how she was allegedly attacked and bitten by a mentally unstable man while commuting in Lagos.
The lady shared videos showing visible bite marks on her body, describing the experience as deeply traumatic. According to her, the incident occurred after she boarded a public bus, a decision she now regrets.
In her words:
“Don’t enter public bus, don’t enter public. This is bite mark on my body. I for kuku book ride go where I dey go. Na bite them bite me like this.
Getting attacked by a mad man was not in my bucket list for 2026. Lagos is not a real place, this feels unreal. I got bitten by a mad man and no one came to help me, they just stood and watched.”
She claimed the attack happened suddenly and that despite her cries for help, other passengers allegedly did not intervene.
Her videos have since gone viral, triggering conversations about safety on public transportation in Lagos and concerns over random incidents in crowded spaces. Many social media users expressed shock and sympathy, with some criticizing the bystanders for failing to step in, while others advised residents to consider safer transport alternatives whenever possible.
The incident has once again highlighted ongoing debates about public safety and the responsibility of citizens to assist others in distress.
