Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has opened up about paternity and DNA tests, revealing that he would fully embrace a child even if a test showed the child isn’t biologically his.
Speaking with BBC Yoruba, Salami explained that the bond formed while raising a child from infancy is what truly matters. “If DNA says my child isn’t mine, and I have raised the child from infancy as my own, and the child also sees me as his father, I will wholeheartedly accept the child as mine,” he said.
He emphasized that a child should never suffer for circumstances beyond their control. The actor added that any issues arising from such a situation would only be between him and his wife, not the child.
“The child will carry my name forever and see me as their father. The matter will only be between me and my wife,” Salami concluded.
