Man Shocked After Discovering House He Left with Uncle Listed for Sale Without Consent

A Nigerian man has shared a startling experience online after discovering that his house in Abuja—entrusted to his uncle years ago—was recently listed for sale without his permission.

Trusted Family Turned Into Disturbing Discovery
The man, identified on X (formerly Twitter) as @Big-Badda, explained that he purchased a plot of land in 2010 and built a house on it. Prior to traveling to Germany in 2015, he handed over the house and its documents to his uncle, asking him to move in with his wife and children.

“I trusted him completely because he’s family. I believed he would protect and manage my property as if it were his own while I was away,” @Big-Badda wrote.

House Renovated and Listed for Sale
In a shocking twist, he recently discovered that the property had been renovated and listed for sale online—without his consent. Efforts to reach his uncle for clarification have been unsuccessful, leaving him deeply troubled.

“For the past few days, I have been trying everything possible to reach him. I have not been able to get in touch. The whole situation has left me disturbed, and I honestly do not know what to think or what could have possibly happened,” he tweeted.

The incident has sparked online discussions about trust, family responsibilities, and property management in Nigeria.
