A Nigerian woman has warmed hearts online after sharing her emotional journey of growth, family, and major life achievements over the past five years.
Taking to social media, the lady identified as @abbydarl reflected on the milestones that have shaped her life since 2021, describing the period as nothing short of transformative.
A journey of milestones
According to her, the journey began in 2021 when she got married. The following year, she relocated to Canada, marking the start of a new chapter abroad.
In 2023, she welcomed her first child, and by 2024, she achieved another major goal—buying her first home. Her family continued to grow in 2025 with the arrival of her second child, and in 2026, they reached yet another significant milestone by becoming Canadian citizens.
Expressing gratitude, she wrote:
“Words can’t fully describe how grateful I am for the last five years… what a journey.
2021 – Got married
2022 – Moved to Canada
2023 – Welcomed our first baby
2024 – Bought our first home
2025 – Welcomed our second baby
2026 – Became Canadian citizens 🇨🇦God, thank you.”
A season of celebration
She also shared that her second child recently turned one, while their Canadian passports arrived just days before their upcoming fifth wedding anniversary.
“My second baby turned one a few days ago, our passports arrived, and we’ll be celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary in a couple of days… Somebody pinch me.”
