Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has raised alarms over the worsening insecurity in Nigeria, calling out both the government and citizens for poor choices that have endangered lives.

In a viral video circulating on X (formerly Twitter), the clergyman recalled his pre-election warnings, saying:

“I told Nigerians, and I said, watch, you are voting a killer system into power. I saw bloodthirsty men coming to cause massacre in the country. Telling the blind the way to go is a problem. The government is irresponsible, insensitive and callous.”

Bishop Oyedepo highlighted that leadership failure and reckless decision-making are largely responsible for the current state of affairs, with innocent lives increasingly at risk across the nation.

His comments come as attacks continue to escalate in several regions, leaving citizens fearful and frustrated.

Public Reactions

Social media users have joined the conversation:

  • One person tweeted, “True… He warned people, but nobody listened.”
  • Another wrote, “This is not the time for blame, we need solutions.”

Bishop Oyedepo’s words underscore a growing sentiment that security failures are a direct result of leadership choices, sparking renewed debate on accountability and governance in Nigeria.
