A lady has sparked conversations online after sharing how a simple Easter gesture turned into an unexpected misunderstanding with her gateman.
According to her, it has always been her tradition to share food with him during festive periods. However, things took a different turn this time due to a small detail she didn’t think would matter.
She explained that after running out of takeaway packs, she asked the gateman to come with his own plate to collect his portion of Easter rice.
“I told him to come with his plate because I had run out of takeaway packs… it was never my intention to disrespect him,” she said.
Surprisingly, she later found out through a neighbour that the gateman felt offended by the request. He reportedly interpreted it as disrespectful, saying it was inappropriate to ask a married man to come with a plate, as it made him feel like he was begging.
The situation has since sparked mixed reactions online. While some people believe her intentions were clearly kind, others argue that how help is given can matter just as much as the help itself.
