NBA Ben 10, a close associate of rap star NBA YoungBoy, was involved in a shooting at Houston’s Confessions nightclub on April 8, 2026. Sources have confirmed that the 26-year-old Baton Rouge rapper is alert and conscious, dispelling earlier rumours of his death.
Houston authorities said the incident began as an attempted chain snatching. During the scuffle, the suspect was overwhelmed by multiple people trying to take his jewellery. The situation escalated into a chaotic altercation lasting roughly 30 seconds to a minute, during which the suspect drew a revolver and fired, hitting two individuals.
Lieutenant R. Wilkins of the Houston Police Department provided further details: “The altercation originally appeared to be about attempting to remove the chains. The fight escalated quickly, and the suspect opened fire, injuring two people.” Both victims were hospitalised in serious condition, one sustaining multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and the other to the arms and extremities.
Footage from the scene showed panic among club-goers, with tables overturned and people seeking cover. Social media was quickly flooded with false reports claiming that Ben 10 had died, sparking concern throughout the hip-hop community. OG Monique, a close associate, confirmed via Instagram that Ben 10 was safe and urged fans to stop spreading misinformation.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident, reviewing video footage, and gathering eyewitness accounts to determine the identity of the shooter and whether claims of self-defence apply.
