Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has pleaded not guilty to new rape charges during a court appearance at Southwark Crown Court.
The 32-year-old footballer denied two additional counts of rape, which were recently added following a renewed investigation by the Metropolitan Police.
Case Now Includes Multiple Allegations
Partey is already facing several serious allegations, having previously denied:
- Five counts of rape
- One count of sexual assault
These claims involve three different women and are said to relate to incidents between 2021 and 2022.
New Charges After Fresh Evidence Review
According to prosecutors, the latest charges were approved after reviewing a comprehensive file of evidence, following a report made in August 2025.
A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for May 14, where the court will determine the next steps.
Trial Timeline May Shift
The full trial is currently set for November 2, but the judge noted that proceedings could be adjusted so all allegations are heard together.
Career Update Amid Legal Proceedings
Since leaving Arsenal at the end of his contract, Partey has joined Villarreal CF as a free agent.
His legal team maintains that he continues to deny all charges and has fully cooperated with authorities, adding that no further comment will be made due to ongoing proceedings.
