The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of candidates who sat for the UTME on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, 2026, marking another major update in this yearโs examination exercise.
According to the board, a total of 1,264,940 results from the two examination days are now available for candidates to access.
The announcement was made in a post on X by JAMBโs spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, who explained that candidates can check their results using the registered phone number linked to their examination.
He stated that candidates should send โUTMERESULTโ to 55019 or 66019 to view their scores.
With this release, JAMB noted that results already published include those from earlier examination days, bringing the total number released so far to 1,897,692 results.
The board had earlier faced some delay in releasing the results as scheduled, which led to concerns among candidates. However, it clarified that the setback was due to administrative constraints and assured that all pending results would be released.
So far, over 2.2 million candidates registered for the 2026 UTME, with Lagos recording the highest number of applicants, followed by Ogun, Oyo, Kaduna, and the FCT.
The examination is being conducted across accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide, with multiple daily sessions to manage the large number of candidates.
JAMB has encouraged candidates to remain patient and use official channels only for result checking to avoid misinformation.
