Nollywood actress Victoria Inyama has issued a public apology after facing heavy backlash over her recent remarks on circumcision.

The controversy started during a live Instagram session with Daddy Freeze, where she shared her personal experience and described it in a way many people found insensitive and misleading.

Her comments quickly triggered outrage online, with critics calling attention to the dangers and realities of female genital mutilation (FGM).

Reacting to the backlash, Victoria admitted she spoke without fully understanding the issue, revealing that conversations with a midwife and others opened her eyes to the seriousness of the practice.

“FGM is bad… I was totally uninformed, now I am informed.”

She also acknowledged that her own experience is very different from what many women go through, including severe complications and trauma.

The actress has now promised to be more informed and careful when speaking on sensitive topics going forward.

The situation has sparked wider conversations online about awareness, education, and the importance of speaking responsibly on critical issues.
