A US congressman has called out Nigeria. And his words are not sugar-coated. π£οΈ
Riley Moore said Nigeria is quick to help other countries when there is trouble. He pointed to how Nigeria stepped in to stop a coup in Benin. But when it comes to protecting its own citizens in Plateau State? He says the government is nowhere to be found. π
He described how Christians gathered to bury people killed in an earlier attack. Then they were attacked again. And killed again. He said the government had warnings but did nothing. π
“Christians are murdered for their faith, like lambs led to slaughter. Enough is enough,” Moore said.
He praised the Trump administration for including Nigerian Christians in a new security plan. But he wants stronger action. Not just words. Real action. π₯
His comment has divided the internet. Some Nigerians say he is telling the truth. Others say he is poking his nose where it does not belong.
When I visited Nigeria, the government responded swiftly to quell a coup in Benin.
Nigeriaβs willingness to step in to stop a violent attack in another country, while they stand by as their own Christian citizens are brutalized makes these absolutely horrific scenes unfolding inβ¦ https://t.co/I7Bg6ceN9Z
