According to Godwin, Alex seemed to know how serious his condition was. Before he passed away on May 11, 2026, after a battle with cancer at age 41, Alex had already prepared his will. Yes. His will. 📝
“I’m struggling to find the words. This news has truly broken me. Nollywood has lost a rare soul, and I’m at a loss for words because this wasn’t the plan,” Godwin wrote.
Then he dropped the heavy line: “Alex Ekubo, to think you already prepared your will. It’s a heartbreak I can’t quite describe. Rest well, my friend.”
He ended with a painful shout: “Goodnight Alex. Cancer, you did this one.” 😢
