Veteran producer Stanley Ontop has also shared details about Alex’s illness. In an Instagram post, he revealed that the actor was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2024. After treatment and a transplant, he returned to work, hopeful. But complications arose. His condition deteriorated. And on May 12, 2026, he passed away at a Lagos-based hospital.
