Veteran gospel singer Tope Alabi has opened up about the painful experiences that made her decide never to help anyone in the music industry again. In a recent interview, she shared stories of betrayal, conflict, and spiritual attacks from people she once accommodated and supported.

She recalled a couple she housed and helped. The husband refused to support his wife’s musical talent. He insisted it was forbidden for a man to help his wife with instruments like guitar or drums. Meanwhile, the woman was already making progress. She recorded two albums under Tope Alabi’s roof. The same producer working on Tope’s album also worked on hers. But the husband became toxic. He wanted to live a big man lifestyle under her roof and even tried to cause problems in her home. She had to beg them to leave. After they left, the woman’s music career went downhill. “That was how the glory of that talented lady went off,” Tope Alabi said.

She also recounted another couple who ganged up against her terribly. She didn’t share many details, but the pain was clear in her voice.

The worst experience came from a third group. After she asked them to leave her home, they went straight to her enemy’s house and started living there. They even shared her prayer points and how she used to pray against her enemies. This led to serious spiritual battles against her and her family. “Different arrows were shot at me, but I thank God. The Lord rescued me and my family,” she said.

After all these experiences, Tope Alabi made a personal decision. She will never help anyone again in the entertainment industry. “That was when I came to the conclusion that I will never help anyone again in this industry because most people are evil,” she stated.

The internet is reacting strongly. One person wrote: “This is why many people don’t want to help anymore. Bad people have ruined it for everyone.” Another said: “She helped them and they turned against her. That is deep betrayal.” Someone else added: “Not everyone is evil. But I understand why she is now careful.” A different voice said: “The husband that refused to support his own wife is the real problem here.”

Tope Alabi’s story is a painful reminder that not everyone will appreciate your help. Some people will use you, betray you, and even fight against you.
