A Nigerian man, Lucky Ikechukwu Ujomudike, has shared emotional details about his final conversations surrounding the death of Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo.
In a viral Instagram post, he revealed that two weeks before the news broke, he had a disturbing dream. Alex looked unwell. He asked what was wrong, but Alex could not give a clear answer.
He woke up and called Alex’s mother because he could no longer reach the actor directly. She told him Alex was okay.
Then on Monday, she called back. This time, she said Alex needed prayers. She started praying. He was shaking.
“Everything still looks like a dream to me. I don’t know how long this pain will last, but we can’t question God.”
He described Alex as someone who wanted to live a quiet life with his family, away from social media drama. He said Alex always sought his advice on every step.
“You fought hard to stay alive, but the pain was unbearable. I am totally broken. I can’t believe my little brother is gone.”
The internet is reacting. One person wrote: “The mother knew. She was carrying that pain alone.” Another said: “This is heartbreaking. He fought hard.”
Someone else added: “The dream two weeks before is scary. God rest his soul.”
Alex Ekubo passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 40, after a battle with advanced metastatic kidney cancer.
