Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has fired a warning to anyone planning to post her private messages after her death.
Speaking during a recent podcast, she called out the habit of sharing unreplied DMs and emotional tributes only after a person passes away โ especially from colleagues who ignored them while they were alive.
“All those people that post people’s DM when they are dead, if you post my DM, I’ll wake up, slap you, and go back to the grave. Don’t try it.”
She also called out movie producers and colleagues who allegedly ignore requests to work together while someone is alive, only to later post emotional tributes after their death.
“DM that you didn’t reply, my enemy will die now. If you try it and post that ‘Oh, we should have worked together, I was looking forward to working with you,’ what I will do to you in your dream, you wouldn’t believe it.”
Her statement comes after the reported death of Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo, which trended online as celebrities shared their last moments and conversations with him.
The internet is reacting. One person wrote: “She is right. Many tributes are fake and for social media attention.” Another said: “This is the funniest threat I have ever heard. ‘I will wake up and slap you.'” ๐
Someone else added: “People only remember you when you are gone. She said don’t fake it.”
A different voice said: “She is not wrong. If you didn’t reply when I was alive, don’t post me when I am dead.”
What do you think is she speaking facts or going too far?
