Uber Driver Sparks Reactions After Sharing Alleged Experiences With Female Passengers
An Uber driver has sparked mixed reactions online after sharing what he described as repeated experiences involving some female passengers and their alleged travel plans.
In a video circulating on social media, the driver claimed he has noticed a recurring pattern among some women he has picked up during rides, suggesting that they often give their partners misleading information about where they are headed.
According to him, it is not an isolated occurrence but something he says he has observed multiple times.
“This is not the first time, second time, not even the third time that I will pick up a lady, and you will think they are going for a get-together. It’s the same strategy, different ladies, but the same lie,” he said.
He further alleged that some passengers inform their partners they are attending social events such as birthdays or office gatherings, while actually heading somewhere else entirely.
The driver also claimed that some of them prepare excuses in advance, including telling their boyfriends they may be unreachable due to noise at the event.
“They will tell their boyfriend, ‘When I get there, it will be noisy and we may not be able to talk until tomorrow,’” he said. “But when we get to the destination, na so so men them dey go meet. Once we arrive, the man they came to meet will come out and pay the fare.”
His remarks have since triggered widespread debate online, with social media users divided over his claims. While some agreed with his perspective based on similar experiences or suspicions, others argued that his observations are not representative of women generally.
He added that some of the situations he has witnessed while working as a ride-hailing driver have left him surprised and made him question relationships and marriage.
The video has continued to generate conversations across social media platforms.
