A Nigerian woman has sparked concern online after sharing her frustrating experience of losing ₦100,000 due to a mistaken bank transfer.
In a viral video, she explained that she accidentally sent the money to the wrong account and quickly rushed to the bank to report the issue.
According to her, she was initially told the money had already been credited to the recipient’s account, which they claimed had been inactive for a long time.
She said bank officials advised her to get a court order before anything could be done to recover the funds.
However, things took a shocking turn.
After obtaining the court order and returning to the bank, she was allegedly told that the money had already been withdrawn from the account.
“They said the money was there before… now they’re telling me it has been withdrawn,” she lamented.
The situation has triggered reactions online, with many Nigerians questioning banking processes and how such cases are handled.
Some users sympathised with her, while others advised people to always double-check account details before sending money.
