A married woman has stirred online conversations after candidly sharing her frustrations about life and marriage.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she reflected in front of a mirror and realized that this year marks 14 years of marriage. What struck her most, however, was what she described as her only “achievement.”
In her own words:
“I’ve been looking at myself in the mirror, thinking about my life. This year makes it 14 years in marriage. Guy, let me tell you what achievement I have achieved… na six children. Six children be my achievement in 14 years of marriage. This thing is really annoying me. Abi na only to born, born, born I come for this marriage to do? The thing just dey vex me one kind.”
Her emotional outburst has sparked mixed reactions online. Many women empathized, relating to her feelings of unfulfilled personal goals, while others encouraged her to redefine what success means beyond societal expectations.
One user commented: “Six children is not a small achievement, madam. Everything is not money.” Another added: “Some women silently feel this way but won’t talk.”
The video has reignited conversations about identity, purpose, and the pressures women face in long-term marriages.
