A dramatic scene reportedly unfolded in a family home after an older woman, said to be an aunt-in-law, stormed in and confronted her nephew’s wife over an alleged refusal to greet her.
In a video currently circulating online, the older woman is seen walking into the living room where the younger woman was seated on a couch using her phone. Moments after entering, the aunt began questioning her about why she did not greet her.
Confrontation over greeting
The situation quickly became tense as the older woman repeatedly demanded an explanation while standing over the younger woman.
“Who are you in this house?” she asked several times during the confrontation. She also continued to press the issue, repeatedly asking, “Why didn’t you greet me?”
Physical altercation caught on camera
As the argument intensified, the video appeared to show the aunt touching, pulling at, and slapping the younger woman while continuing to question her.
Despite the heated moment, the younger woman appeared relatively calm and responded respectfully throughout the exchange.
At several points during the confrontation, her husband could be heard saying, “Thank you ma,” seemingly attempting to maintain peace while the argument continued.
Husband weighs in
During the exchange, the nephew also spoke from the background. At one point, he asked his wife how she would react if the situation involved her own mother.
“If your mother comes in, won’t you greet her?” he asked.
The video has since sparked widespread debate on social media, with many users discussing issues such as respect for elders, personal boundaries within families, and how conflicts between relatives should be handled.
