Nathan Tella has committed his future to Bayer Leverkusen, signing a long-term contract that will keep him at the Bundesliga club until June 2031. The announcement, made official by the club on Tuesday, signals Leverkusen’s confidence in the 26-year-old winger as a key figure in their squad for years to come.

Since joining from Southampton in 2023, Tella has steadily established himself as a crucial attacking option. His previous deal ran until 2028, but the club chose to secure his services earlier, showing their determination to retain core players as they aim to compete at the highest level.

The winger’s journey hasn’t been without challenges. A knee injury in September disrupted his 2025/26 season, keeping him sidelined for several months. However, he has now returned to training, with the coaching staff carefully managing his workload as he works toward full fitness. His availability is set to provide a timely boost for Leverkusen during a critical stage of the campaign.

Known for his blistering pace and versatility, Tella can operate across wide positions and even in central attacking roles, offering tactical flexibility that makes him a dangerous presence in the final third. With this new contract, Leverkusen have not only secured a talented player but also sent a message about the club’s ambitions and belief in their rising stars.

It’s a move that underscores trust, potential, and the promise of exciting football ahead for both Tella and Bayer Leverkusen.
