The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a revised timetable for its activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, outlining key dates for form sales, screening, and primaries.
The update, confirmed by party officials including Felix Morka, shows adjustments to the party’s internal election process in line with national electoral guidelines.
When forms will be sold
According to the schedule, the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms will run from April 25 to May 2, 2026.
All completed forms must be submitted on or before May 4, 2026.
Screening and appeals
Screening of aspirants is set to take place from May 6 to May 9, covering candidates for:
- State House of Assembly
- House of Representatives
- Senate
- Governorship
- Presidency
Appeals for State Assembly and House of Representatives aspirants will follow shortly after, between May 12 and May 13.
Dates for primaries
Primary elections will begin on May 15, 2026, starting with House of Representatives candidates.
The process will continue across other positions and is expected to end on May 23, 2026, after the presidential primaries.
Cost of nomination forms
The party also announced the fees for each position:
- State House of Assembly: ₦1 million (Expression of Interest) + ₦5 million (Nomination)
- House of Representatives: ₦1 million + ₦9 million
- Senate: ₦3 million + ₦17 million
- Governorship: ₦10 million + ₦40 million
- Presidency: ₦30 million + ₦70 million

With this timetable, the APC has officially set the stage for its internal selection process ahead of the 2027 elections.
The timeline gives aspirants a clear window to prepare, while also signalling that political activities are gradually gaining momentum nationwide.
