Celebrity barman and nightlife entrepreneur Cubana Chief Priest has sparked fresh reactions on social media after hinting that politics could be the next chapter of his career.
Taking to his Instagram Story, the socialite reflected on his journey to success, stating that social media has already given him everything he once desired—except political power, which he described as his “last bus stop.”
“Social media gave me fame, fortune, influence, connections, respect, and a voice. The only thing remaining is power. Power is my last bus stop.”
In another post, Cubana Chief Priest explained that the values that shaped his rise to success are the same principles he intends to carry into politics.
“I rose to success through apprenticeship, loyalty, service, patience, respect, hustle and, above all, the grace of God. That’s the same route I’m still gonna apply politically. Only time will tell. I see the power coming.”
Political Ambitions Remain Alive
His latest remarks come months after he contested for the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives ticket for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in Imo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
However, he lost the party’s primary election to the incumbent lawmaker, Canice Nwachukwu.
Following the outcome of the primary, Cubana Chief Priest said he had no regrets about joining the race, although he admitted he was disappointed by the result. He also made it clear that he was not stepping away from politics.
His latest social media posts have further fuelled speculation that the celebrity entrepreneur may be preparing for another political bid in the future.
As expected, the posts have generated mixed reactions online, with supporters encouraging him to pursue his political aspirations while others continue to debate the growing involvement of celebrities in Nigerian politics.
