Social media commentator Daniel Regha has reacted after the expiration of a 7-day period earlier declared by Bishop David Oyedepo regarding bandits in Nigeria.

Bishop Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, had during a sermon declared that divine judgment would fall on bandits and their sponsors within seven days, amid rising insecurity in the country.

“In the next seven days, I declare judgment upon those responsible for these disasters,” the cleric had said.

However, after the period elapsed, Daniel Regha took to social media to question the outcome, saying violent incidents were still being reported across different parts of Nigeria.

He listed several recent reports of attacks in states like Kogi, Benue, Katsina, Plateau, Ondo, and the Northeast, including killings, kidnappings, and village raids.

According to him, the situation on ground does not reflect the declaration made earlier.

“Now 7 days has ended… it didn’t work,” he wrote.

His comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some users agreeing with his concerns about insecurity, while others criticised his tone and timing given the sensitivity of the issue.

The discussion continues to trend as Nigerians react to both the insecurity situation and the public debate surrounding faith and national security.
